We must turn away from sin. It may be attractive, but it is what separates us from
God according to Isaiah
"..your iniquities (sins)
have separated between you and your God." Isaiah 59:2 (KJV)
Therefore, if we want God's forgiveness, we must be willing
to repent of our sins.
Repentance means turning away from sin. We
must do this and make the constant effort to sin no more. Jesus said this about the need for repentance-
"...except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Luke 13:3 (KJV)
Please notice also what is said in Acts -

"And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent." Acts 17:30 (KJV)
